The students of Class III to V had a field trip to Janapadaloka , Channapatna toy factory & Tipu Summer palace on 25thJanuary breaking the mundane routine of being at school & attending the classes. The students were overjoyed in the morning to reach the school and give themselves a break for exploring the nature in Janapadaloka wherein it translates to 'Folk World', and as the name suggests, is dedicated to promoting, preserving and propagating the very vibrant folk art and culture. The Janapada Loka houses just about 5000 folk artefacts which include a variety of previously used but unflinchingly mighty hunting equipment, rustic and old-school agricultural equipment, traditional and creative household wares, colourful puppets and artefacts that revolve around the themes of folk literature, music, sculptures, festivals and lifestyle. Students were eager to know about the habits of earlier people and their routine.
Channapatna Toy Factory : Popularly known as 'the town of toys’. was an incredible world of toys where in the students were enthralled while seeing the process of making attractive dolls . Students were amazed by the eco friendly materials they used, Doodhi Wood (or Milk wood because of its whitish colour), which is a very soft and light form of wood that can be carved easily. They use vegetable dyes for colouring the woodwork and use certain blade of grass with highly abrasive properties for polishing.
Tippu Sultan Summer Place: The children visited the Tippu Sultan Summer Place also popularly known as Dariya Daulat Palace. The students were appraised about the history of Tipu Sultan. The Bhag was a peaceful place.
The trip was not only entertaining but also informative.
The students had pleasure dancing with their friends and enjoying the liberty of spending some memorable time with their classmates. It was a day full of fun, frolic and ecstasy. Students had a memorable day of their life. But this was an occasion to let the students loose and be with each other to rejoice and revel out of studies.
